Just in case anyone is interested, the TA and Petro cards have always required a password or PIN. I have heard the stories about the Pilot card and the Iowa State Troopers, and quite frankly, I am skeptical. Seems like one of those urban myths to me.

Then again, I am not out there every day fighting the battles drivers fight, so I am probably wrong.

I was skeptical as well until I found my old card at the J and typed it in and it gave me information on the last transactions and no PIN requested.

The card is no longer used.

It has to be the truth as they wrote a "story" about it in the OORIDA magazine. :biggrin_25520: :biggrin_25520:

Well then, there you go. Why someone would even admit having a card at this point is beyond me.

I have yours as well, but the price of your fuel and the pilot and j's are ridiculous.

I buy at the no names and save dollars.

My J card is not even in the truck anymore after checking the numbers.

I would send them to you, but they show confidential information that I do not want out.

You could put a series of numbers in there and get a look at a random person.

Anyone having problems getting the new Pilot/Flying J cards mailed?
I applied for the PFJ card and the Ultra One card just about the same time. I know I did the Ultra One last, and I've received that one already in the mail. Still waiting on the PFJ card. Currently using my Pilot card at both places until it becomes obsolete.

    follow up question:
When I applied for the Ultra One card (done at a Petro kiosk) I was able to use my TA card and I guess transfer the points and such over to the Ultra One card. I didn't have my Petro card to do the same thing. Is there a way to transfer whatever points I have on my Petro card over to the new Ultra One card?

I have never gotten a new Pilot/FJ card, and it has been at least a couple months since I combined the old cards and went thru the sign up process.
When I signed up for the Ultra One card at a kiosk, was when I was able to combine the Petro and TA cards onto just the TA card, which then worked at both places, and I used until I got the new card in the mail a couple weeks later.
You might try swiping the Petro card at a Kiosk and see if it gives you any options to combine with the new card.

Here's your answer from our expert Sequoia.

The UltraONE member can add their card on one of two ways...
    1. Contact customer service and they will handle combined.
    2. Visit a Petro Kiosk and select Upgrade to UltraONE. The kiosk will present a screen asking if you are already an UltraONE Member. If you select yes, you will be asked to swipe your UltraONE card. The next screen will ask if you have another card you would like to add to your UltraONE Account to swipe that card now. Once you swipe the Passport card, you will select done to exit out of the screen. The Petro account balance will be added to the UltraONE account and moving forward you will only use your UltraONE Card.

Sweet. I know I did that when I first signed up as I scanned my TA card but then afterwards I thought "shoot, I should have brought my Petro card in, too." I have to head to a TA tonight so I'll bring my 2 cards along. :)

    Thanks again!

edit: too bad you don't for Pilot/Flying J. You had the easy question to answer! :p
