RFX, "Big Radio" or Something Else?

    Thanks for all of the great suggestions!

    I think I'm going to go the single antenna route with a Wilson 2000 and new 50ohm coax.

    I actually need the other mounting spot on the passenger's side for an antenna for my cell phone booster.

    So, I'll still have two antennas, they'll just look a little different and serve two different purposes.

    Still thinking about the radio upgrade.

    Thinking I might get a Uniden 880 with RFX kit (yeah, I know a guy that's figured out how to install the RFX in that new surface mount PCB radio).

    OR, if l decided to blow the budget and get a "big radio", I'm thinking Stryker 955HPC with some tweaks.

    But, I'm doing the new antenna and coax first.

    Your thoughts about this "plan"?

    I think you would be happier with a Connex 3300 HP. I have never heard a bad word about them and I have had mine for 6 years. No problems until kid held the key down on the mic and burned out the finals.
