Interesting, what breaks these planks? I can’t ever remember breaking one.

Weight? I dunno. I've never broken one myself, just watched them break when others were loading.

Wood planks between outriggers aren’t really designed to support a load themselves they’re more to support something that’s site partially on the deck and partially on the outriggers. The aluminum ones can support something like a sprayer.

    cke and HoneyBadger67 Thank this.

It could be that some are not quite fastidious enough about getting 'clear' boards. Knotholes weaken over time. Depending on the route they travel through the board, a whole cross section could become brittle.

    cke and pushbroom Thank this.

Personally I would pull the slides out till you were close to the outside or at least a ways out just for added comfort personally if it was available but no weight will sit on the outriggers they are a inch or 2 lower than the deck height but if for some awful reason and lack of proper tie down your load wont hit the ground as easy

I thought you were supposed to put planks down on the outriggers? Then wouldnt it sit flush?

In the ag pullouts they are designed for the equipment to sit directly on top of the aluminum but anything can be changed to match what you need for that particular load

    Oxbow Thanks this.
