I didn't go through the Richmond terminal to get my CDL but it's my home terminal and they seem to have plenty of equipment for the number of students. It's all older manual transmission Volvos.
When I took my CDL test three out of the four Swift students passed. Swift gives you more than one try, but not sure how many total. -
can you still get manuals in the fleet im going for reefer
-
The east coast reefer terminal is Atlanta. That's probably where your driver leader will be. -
i dont mind an older truck but i do want a manual
-
so how do they treat you i hear good and bad stories i come from a ling line of truckers/tanker my great great grandfather drove a Sherman with a 90mm and my grandparents on both sides did it my dad did it my brother still does it so i know alot but i just want the truth sometimes what do you haul dry van or reefer?
-
I'm dry van and my experience at Swift has been great. Very few complaints. I think a lot of it depends on your driver leader, and I'm lucky to have a very good one.

Test in an manual so you do not have the restriction, but the auto is better in so many ways.
