You can't unless you manage to get the extension number for the particular CSR handling that account. The system is designed to allow drivers access to their DM only. You can get the Qcomm code for the FM, TM, or anybody in the system and send a "directed message" (don't know the current term for that one now if it even still exists) and there was always the "free form" message....which usually was the macro that the really really really upset driver would send his "information" including expletives and get that trip he was wanting back to his terminal...one problem...he then emptied out his truck...or should I say his former truck!
Riddle me this...

I added some info after being stopped by the DOT in Maryland about a load limit on a bridge. It wasn't there in the mac23 next time I went there.
"Que sira sira whatever will be will be.................." -
Not quite Mr.Smarty Pants.
It is under construction/repairs. When I crossed it was a 3/4T limit from 6am to 10pm. Think Rand McWorthless would have that? Not likely.
I was by there a couple of weeks ago. Now it is a 4 axle limit. The time restrictions might still be there. I was trying to route myself around the scale on 95.
I got a written warning. DOT cop told me big trucks cause the rock in the concrete to fall out of suspension when they are pouring it.
In theory it sounds feasible to me as a former concrete guy. Driver and finisher.
My girl freind backed me up on it not being properly marked. That may have helped my case+ I was very polite.
Imagine the ticket for a 17T empty truck?
Ever been to Sun Products? I have 3 times. -
Wait....
I just put new feet on that one....
Another one was the directions to Georgia-Pacific in Toledo, OR. There's a length restriction on US20 between Marysville and Toledo. Can't take that one. Have to go all the way through Salem, Grand Ronde and Lincoln City. Directions used to say take Hwy229 south from Kernville, through Siletz. Well, the only reason trucks are allowed on that at all is so loggers can haul stuff out. Best (only) way to go is stay on US101 south to Newport and take a left at the JC Market, go past the Dairy Queen on US20, over the crest of the hill and take a right onto Old US20. You don't want to go through town...$500 ticket for overlength. Don't want to be east of Toledo on US20...$1,800 ticket plus a tow bill for overlength. Luckiy, the state is in the process of straightening out that last about 10 miles of US20 and then it's supposed to be a Class VIII truck route all the way from Corvallis to Newport. -
Pretty much the entire state of WV has 70ft restriction on the 2 lanes. My parameters include 72ft. My Cobra 7700 would not take me to Kingsford Charcoal in Parsons WV. I brought that up with Brian at Cobra in another forum on this site.

I saw no reason for it on a 4 lane road. -
Some people have their minds made up already, and nothing I can say will change that. But there are drivers who have questions that they want answers to, and that is what I am hoping to provide. And I have a few questions now and then myself.Rotten, inkeper, TruckrsWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
ECT: There are two main ECT centers. Memphis and Phoenix. There are some 16000 trucks on the road. Memphis handles every terminal from Lancaster east. There are on average 7 or 8 people answering messages and phones during the week. Some drivers send a message, then call two minutes later, which delays things further.
The "invalid trailer" thing you get? Here is something that you may not know: your DM, ECT, nobody gets a message about that unless the driver sends a message "hey fix my loaded call". And sometimes when a driver does send that message, the loaded call will get fixed, but your DM or the ECT person will not send a message letting you know it was fixed.
I hope one of those days that you just roll and answer the QC is not one of the days where the shipper gave you the wrong trailer number, and you drove 400 miles in the wrong direction...
If a L/O declines a load, thats their right. However, if we do not have team miles, (and I know some drivers think we just create loads anywhere at any time, but its not true) then we cannot give them anything else. Every now and then, you may have to take a shorter run! Welcome to trucking. If you are in Laredo on a Saturday morning, and you turn down a load going to Memphis for Monday because its not enough miles, there will be a solo company driver thats been here 4 weeks that will be happy to do it.
Planners are not supposed to push PTA's out to 12/31 anymore. It happens, but I havent seen it in a while. Usually, after a driver declines enough loads, the planner will just stop planning that driver. Why waste time? Especially if the driver is declining because of miles, and there are not any better loads to plan.
And as for the Memphis/MS Carrier thing... huh? Do you think drivers that worked for MS have a little star by their driver number so we know they worked for MS? Seriously. Give me your valid complaints about Memphis, I will answer them. I know a little something about Memphis.Rotten Thanks this. -
This company asks drivers whats going on all the time. There was recently a survey. Did you do it? Or did you think to yourself "they dont really care" and ignore it. Cause, some of the things we learned from the survey, we are working on fixing. There is another survey coming up. I see my boss all the time talking to drivers, having meetings with groups of drivers getting feedback. So yeah, you cant say Swift doesnt look for feedback, because we do. -
Oh yeah, the directed message still exists, I just cant remember the macro for it... 31?otherhalftw Thanks this.
