Nobody enters macro 12 directions, thats done by the computer routing system. Thats why they are so wonky sometimes. And since the directions for Rubbermade are bad, what are the good ones?

It's OK...he was using the same system I mentioned about the drivers giving directions from the route AS THEY WERE LEAVING the location...just backwards...no big deal!:yes2557:

I was just going to put "mac 13", but it said I needed more characters, wasn't trying to be a wise #$$.

The best teachers never tried to correct the test papers without the answer sheet in front of them...and the good students always make sure their "cheat sheets" are accurate!:biggrin_2558:

And you can call it a "reference sheet":biggrin_25514: if you want to!:biggrin_2559:

I think it's good to have someone on from the office who isn't in management. We all are on the same team and hearing it directly from the other end of the QC gives a different perspective. An important one at that.

And that's not Injun sucking up. This guy has absolutely no control or influence over what is sent to my truck and has no connection to my terminal at all. He is on the East Side, I don't cross the Big Crick but on rare occasions. When I end up in Texas, any contact I have is with whatever terminal I happen to be at: Lancaster, El Paso or Laredo. I do not talk to any office personnel except my own West Side team or whoever is in the window.

He is legitimate. So let's treat him like a team member and not an enemy. I'd like to see the dialogue continue.

Can this "old fart" using "past history" play too?

I too am finding this interesting...but from a different view...how things are finally getting some "feed back" and the fact that there are a couple "insiders" willing to at least read/listen to some drivers and their questions or gripes...and these drivers can actually ask/say things that used to get them booted right out of the room!

    So.....can I play...if I promise to play nice!?:biggrin_25525:

Otter, your input is as important as any I've seen. Your perspective is that of a mentor and aside from you, I have seen only one other person on these forums willing to admit to being a mentor....and it's not DickJones...who was never a mentor in the first place. In fact, that other real mentor who posted, only posted a few times and I haven't seen him in a few days.

Therefore, yes. Your ideas are just as valid as any I've seen. 12 years with a company certainly gives you plenty of insight...especially since you probably trained a good number of our current trainers.

Currently dispatch doesn't seem to understand I have been low on hours from over 10k miles in the last 3 weeks from my daily status reports and free form msgs with more live load/unloads than usual added in the mix too. When we are running low on hours we are running off whatever hours we pickup at midnight and that might not be even 11 hours, we are very limited in what we can do and run awkward schedules due to this. Thus I turned down 4 loads today cause of my hours, finally accepted one that had an extra day on it that was do able.
