I own my own truck. I am not leased to anyone.
I pay for and maintain all my own coverages and plates.

Great West Casualty clearly states NO PASSENGERS unless employees of said company or that have prior insurance permission....
They didn't even want to permit me to bring my wife along until I told them that this was a deal breaker.
I got Underwriting to actually place it in my DEC page under additions/exclusions: "Wife permitted to ride along occasionally".
    (That works fine for me..)

I know that sounds stupid and that if I pay premiums then I should be allowed to do as I please but if I want GW I have to follow their rules.
The cost and coverage was too good to pass up so we worked it out.
Now, if I start bringing other family or friends along, all can be well until an accident/incident and then I likely would face cancellation.

Progressive has no such rules. You can pickup homeless people if you so desire. :biggrin_2556:

It's sad that insurance and company policy doesn't allow ride alongs. I remember when I was younger, I wanted to ride along with my friend's dad, but I wasn't allowed. Too bad he doesn't drive anymore. I couldn't see taking off of work to do it, though. If you are serious, good luck.

Also, I don't appreciate the comment you made about how you will hold truckers up on purpose because the "funny guys" on the board gave you a hard time. Even if they were insulting you, it's still an absolutely useless passive aggressive tactic. :biggrin_25512:

Like you, I am also a four-wheeler and I also don't appreciate the fact that you would use this tactic and endanger other motorists as well as the truck drivers that are just trying to get our goods to the store for us.:biggrin_25513:
