Hopefully the trucker he rides with will be wearing a flannel shirt and a truckers hat as well. (sarcasm)

    Hmmmm
Wonder how much he is going to pay
A cash offer would really help sweeten the deal
Hint: one of our members was offered 6 grand to just shoot a commercial:biggrin_25525:

just take snippets of Convoy interspersed with modern free-way shots of the road!

I used to work in television.
    I was a photographer for 5 years.

I'll tell you, your photographer will not enjoy taking on this task. There is no room to get cut away angles inside a cab. Unless you want to do it with a digital "handicam" but then your video will be too shaky to use. Plus, if shooting in day time, the iris will move non-stop transferring from the bright outside light, to the dim inside. To the human eye the cab may look well lit. But to a camera, there is a HUGE f-stop range the iris is going to move.

If you can find a trucker to let you in, then I wish you the best of luck. It's going to be hard work and it's not going to turn out how you would like it to.

People, He's from the newspaper, not a television station. So it's all still photography. I'm sure that my husband wouldn't mind showing him what he goes through. One trip in a truck through Chicago, or say Dallas, would change this mans perspective on the type of nerves it takes to drive an 80,000 load from one place to another. But the real adventure is on the road. We all know that you don't get the full effect, until you've been dispatched with a load that needs to be there yesterday, get cut off in traffic multiple times by texting and eating 4 wheelers, who's lives are more important than yours, only to get stopped at a scale for a level 1, held up and you have to call and let your DM/Broker know the load is going to be late, only to have them screaming in your ear. Now you can't stop to pee, eat or even fuel, because you've been delayed to the point that they are ready to dock you for the load.

Want the real story, ride along for more than a half a day, Dan. You'll wonder why anyone chooses this profession at all!!!

Geez. I wish he'd leave his original post up. Kinda knocks everyone elses' out of context when the OP just deletes everything.

I've been driving for a while and I think road rage is highly exaggerated. There are a lot of hot headed drivers but I haven't seen too many. Maybe I tend to relax and do my own thing and just don't notice it
