If you feel the need to whisper "I ain't got no panties on" into the CB mike, do it for at least 45 minutes continually. Everyone appreciates your humor, and they all get a good laugh out of it.

Yeah, um.....being a truckstop "richard" can end badly. I remember one time when some CB yay-hoo was doing something similar in the old 76 in Richmond VA. I was just getting ready to leave, and I noticed in the truck next to me the CB cord was stretched into the sleeper and, yup, I knew who was doing it. As I left, I got on the radio and said "He's in a {name of a popular mega-carrier of the time} KW on the back row, truck # *****".

All truck stops have unmarked areas set aside for sweeping out your trailer. Make sure you take advantage of them!

Tin snips will make quick work of the offender's coax. Or, just push a safety pin straight through the shield into the center conductor to short it out.

Don’t even think about giving him your Milwaukee cordless. Make sure it’s that old heavy, lever action POS your dad left you. The one with the worn out coupler.

The price of a shower in a truck stop includes the towel. Don't forget to take it with you because they're bigger and fluffier than anything you can find in a store!

Yesterday was a reminder of good advice:

Nebraska and Kansas have beautiful and predictable weather. Ignore the shelf cloud barreling your direction if the forecast says 10mph winds and light rain. Microbursts don't exist, you can't see wind, and debris from the fields is simply migrating across the road for winter. Continue along at 65+mph and never lift until your empry dry van almost hits the truck beside you.

All those Nebraskans in long hood trucks pulling reefers and cattlepots are simply rookies and are doing 50mph cause they do not like to drive fast.

You wait till you get run up on (and sucked forward) by one of the cattle pots operated be a non-Nebraskan....
    Old joke..
Driver cutting it west past Seward, steady 85. Sees a glimmer way back. Mulls it a moment; must be a car, gaining that fast.
Best drop it back to 70 to use reference of just 10 over. Wow, that is a truck, got cab lights. Hell, he is shifting over, coming around...
Backdraft settles and he gets on the radio..."Gittin it done there driver, nice rig...( I mean, you do respect a winner...)
Sweetest little low pitched voice comes back... Thank you sir; But not so loud. My boy friend is in the sleeper and he don't like me driving fast,...

A lot (of pain) would depend on the way inserted. Should be labeled... "That end up".

If you get a red light at a scale with Pre -Pass, those are pretty much safe to ignore. I have gotten several over the course of the last year, and although the DOT cops are generally a jovial bunch, and I do appreciate the invitation, I usually don't have the time to stop and chat. .
