    Updates:
I’m down 15lbs, since 10/2. I’m still eating much healthier than in the past. I’ve had one fast food meal and it wrecked my lower GI tract, so I’m pretty sure I’m on the other side of that stuff. I’ve had two sodas, but, that’s it for those. I’ve been cutting my sweet tea with unsweetened. It’s becoming more palatable. The boxes of cereal I have are almost gone, then, that’ll be it with processed grains. I have some frozen items I’ll continue finishing up, over an extended period. The last weeks of shopping have seen me sticking to the perimeter of the grocery store, which is all natural/unprocessed food options.

I haven’t ridden at all, this month. The weekend weather hasn’t been the least bit cooperative. I’m researching trainers, now, as I want to keep working on my health. I’m leaning toward the Zwift hub drive, because it’ll allow varied resistance, mimicking terrain. I believe, that’ll keep me more interested riding indoors. Unfortunately, after the first year, it’s a $149/yr subscription. That’s a steep price for someone who only wants it for the winter weekends. I’m undecided.

My big wheel BMX is getting closer to completion. The frame, fork, and handlebar are back from powdercoat, after I didn’t like my first color selection. The wheelset is being rehooped after I didn’t care for the first hoops. The custom-built Hope brakesets are on the way. Then, I’m planning a mock-up to decide the next step of, either, going with it or sending all the anodized components off for color matching. I’m a stickler for the correct look, for my BMX stuff. The pic is a peak.

Good work! It's tough for sure watching the diet. Same for me.

So I haven't ridden since I did the Wyoming Heritage Trail a few weeks back. I jacked up my Achilles tendon, then was home hunting, and just ain't had a chance.

I was in Nebraska for this weekend though. Spent all day yesterday up and down the Sandhills chasing shapies. This morning it was 16*, and I just couldn't make myself chase the birds again.

So I ran into Valentine for that ridiculous craving I didn't need (sausage biscuit, hash brown, large unsweet tea), then went back and parked at the intersection of 83 and 20.

Aired up the tires and put in some miles on the Cowboy Trail. Nice trail, well packed, cold AF @ 30* with a 25 mph wind. Spittin snow from time to time.

BTW, i picked out 10-20? Sand burrs on the trail in Wyoming that made sealant come out of my tires. All sealed up just fine, no leaks.

And no sand burrs on this section

Cowboy trail is at top of bucket list next year. The trikes come out this week, and the training begins. Im planning on Chief ladiga/silver comet ride over the winter.

If you’re ever driving thru Halsey and think you want to stop at the forest west of town just keep on driving. I went up there last summer with 3” tires and they were not enough. I did a lot of walking and pushing. I plan on going back in Jan or Feb with my 3.8” on my bike and hopefully the ground will be frozen enough they will work.

    You guys got any reccomendations?
I need a little more gearing on the top and bottom end. Think my bike is a ten speed now

I looked up the bike you have so I think this is the correct one. Confirm that your chainring is an 82 BCD and if so these guys have a 26 tooth you could replace your 28 tooth with.

And if that’s not enough this Microshift cassette will give you a 48t big cog instead of a 46t.

I wondered if maybe that section of Cowboy Trail was only solid because of freezing. It had snowed, and apparently some freezing rain from the ice I saw. The edges of the trail were still soft and loose, so I assume it's good.

I was parked on the west side of Valentine NWR, and thought of riding out there. Didn't wanna fight the sand

Loaded up the rigid single speed and headed for the desert because beating the snot out of my body for a few days seemed like a good idea.
