Riding Bikes

Here are some pics from the second day. The station at Sedalia, the last remaining signal on the Katy, Boonville station, and the boxcar I stayed in last night.

 

Day 3 I rode from Rocheport to Rhineland. I’m realizing that bringing my camping gear was pretty much a waste on this trip as I’m at a bed and breakfast again tonight. If there had even been the slightest breeze I would’ve camped, but once you stop and get off the bike it is downright miserable.

 

It’s nice when you’re moving, almost like an air conditioner. But once you stop it’s not enjoyable, in my opinion.

 

Day 4 I rode from Rhineland back to St Charles. The plan for the morning is to ride to Machens and back before I have to check out of the hotel. That way I can clean up before the drive home.

I was going through some old pics and found these. This is at a place about 15 miles south of I-80 off the Brady NE exit. It’s called Potter’s Pasture. Pretty neat mix of terrain and a couple different areas to camp if you wanted to spend some time here. Almost doesn’t feel like Nebraska.
