Been off work this week. I wanted to go camping/riding and the places I wanted to go were getting rain all week. Ended up driving down to St Joe MO and riding the River Bluff trails and then went to Cone Park up in Sioux City. Jumps and drops have never really been my thing and ooofta my body isn’t happy after my escapades on a hardtail. But I had fun and don’t have to work until Tuesday so I should be fine. Lol

It’s a Selle Anatomica. I have their leather version on most bikes, but this one and my single speed mountain bike have the rubber version.

That looks like a really nice bike! Looks like a 13 speed, which is good for climbing and flat road. Did the seller keep track of how many miles he’s rode on that bike? I don’t think it would be a hateful buy honestly. But as mentioned, a new Canyon bike might not be too much more, all things considered.

I'm no stallion, but I've been slowly working my way down in weight and up in performance. It's great to have local rides you do occasionally and see the difference. When I'm around the company yard once or twice a week I tend to ride to dinner and that's gone from an e-bike making maybe 7 miles to that same 7 being exhausted. Then I added another restaurant about double that. Now I can take the roundabout route with hills and rollers at about 18 miles instead. I've got that Montague folder in my truck at all times and try my best to ride it away from rest areas and truck stops. It's a fantastic money saver to be able to stop for an hour and go to taco bell for $8 instead of 3 tenders for $15 at popeye's.

Down from 285 in the winter to 266 and dropping. Didn't really start making progress until summer when I dropped soft candy snacking completely.

That consistency is the hard part. Looks like you've got that down. Keep after it.

I was riding quite a bit till two summers ago, and just haven’t had the time since. The last decent ride I did was the Wyoming Heritage Trail.

Sand burrs were everywhere and I had to stop and air up several times on the way back.

Just this April I finally tuned the bike and fixed my tires, but finally got out for a short 5ish miles two weeks ago. Any muscle memory I had was gone.

Still haven't picked up a road bike yet, and probably won't till late fall now.

Yeah...I try to get inspired and get out for a ride myself. I am 290lbs but need to be at 200-210 for my height ... the bike frame is rated 275 with all gear...so, I'll need to do some walking first. That's ok...I've been there and done that.

You should be alright riding it. Keep in mind that would probably hold up to some pretty rough stuff at that weight so if you just avoid the potholes and ride smooth it should handle it. The biggest benefit, at least for me, is cardio health. It's got my resting heart rate in the mid to low 40s. Also low impact to save your knees is a huge benefit. I'd never be able to run and save my knees at my weight but I can ride 20mph on the bike.
