Riding Bikes

Valentine NWR is awesome, and there's Niobrara NWR in Valentine. There's a FS camground just east of Merritt Reservoir, if ya get out that way, and lot's of two track in Samuel R. Mckelvie NF. Very quiet, also tough riding

I'm sure you've got plans, so enjoy!

 

My "training wheels" ride for trikepacking will be Valentine (hopefully Chadron) to Norfolk NE on Cowboy rail trail/hwy 20. Towns are 10 to 15 miles apart. So when i have a "learning" experience of some sort, i wont be far from whats needed.
I will start training soon, but the dog will be a challenge to figure out

 

Never heard of the Cowboy Trail before. Looks like fun

I’ll have to do some searching for the trailer I bought for my granddaughter, some years ago. The suspension had adjustable spring rate, so the trailer could “grow” with the child. It’d be perfect for animals and varied bikepacking loads.

The company no longer make the one I had for my granddaughter. But, I did find this one with suspension.

I intend on putting dog on trike with me and trailer will haul gear to keep weight off reat tire- which really affects handling on a trike
And at 66lbs thats quite heavy trailer

 

Any of y'all done the Hiawatha Trail? I might have some free time Tuesday, and thought about hiking it of I have time, though it's mainly a bike trail.

 

Where at ? Looked it up. Idaho panhandle. Love that area
