Lifelong Tiger fan. I don't miss a game, even while on the road.

Pick my brain as you please. I haven't been on much, but I'm trying to change that. Oh, good luck finding truck parking in Metairie, unless you go beside the Sears in Clearview Mall. Other than that, St. Rose has the closest truck stops.

Well never go to pee while the trainer is fueling lol. My trainer pulled that one on me. While I was inside he pulled our out of the island and parked where he could see me but i couldn't see him. We had a good laugh.

I have a cousin who wants to become a trucker and possibly team with me and that thought has come up, 'what if I could train him myself' ... and then I say to myself that it probably isn't a good idea cause a trainer and student's relationship should start there. Like, sometimes trainer's have to be A-holes in order to teach you stuff ... IDK ... in my opinion I wouldn't want my cousinship and/or friendship depending on the situation to be altered by me being in a different level than he is ... that's my 2 cents anyways

Plus if he goes with a trainer, he might learn something you didn't know... I know with my husband and myself we had different trainers and then pooled our knowledge... Not sure if we have that much :biggrin_25523: but it's more that we would have if taught by the same person :biggrin_25525:

Yeah! that's a really good point too. The knowledge needed for being a Trucker is on a neverending list. An eternal learning experience. This really should be one of the most respected jobs. Too bad it's the less respected... maybe it's cause they're all jealous!

I too was wondering the same thing. Im just going through CDL school now, and I will of course have to spend at least a few weeks with a trainer. I'm pretty easy to get along with, I just hope my trainer is too...
