It's possible that the wiring for the fan got unplugged and after a little while begins to run hot no different than any other engine . pull the cover, take a look at it from the fan to the computer. It sounds like it became undone accidentally. If you can get to the box for fuses on the unit check them too. If the little mini fuses check them with a tester while it is running. that will tell you if they are all working too.

Now next time, when they do the PM, stand there and watch them to make sure they do it right.
I said check the oil because one time they filled mine up till it was flowing out the dip stick and then did not drain it down to the correct level. Gotta love TAFullMetalJacket Thanks this. -
The levels are good, fan runs, wiring looks good. Everything I can observe with my limited knowledge looks good. Now it's giving oil pressure errors too and is blowing room temperature air. I give up.
Everything was FINE before I got a PM. By fine I mean it had been at least eight weeks since I'd been in a shop with an APU problem with is a good streak for a Rigmaster.
I'm just going to idle until I get yelled at and then probably idle some more.
What I'd really like to do is learn as much as I can about the thing, like a mechanics level of knowledge, so I can just take care of the #### thing myself.Highway101 Thanks this. -
Undo the bolts holding it on. At some point your problems will be solved. Signed, a former Rig Master owner.

Anyone here have the new model with the new Kohler Tier 4 engine? Same engine as the TriPac EVO. For $2,000 less and 150 lbs less it is tempting. l also really like how it is self contained and won't have to drill holes in my brand new sleeper to mount a condenser.
I had also read here the new RM have been working well on severe duty trucks in Australia. Is there any truth to that? Thanks! -
RubyEagle Thanks this.

Have the new model with the Kohler, louder than the tripac & sounds reminiscent of a radial engine. Works except for random times it decides to not work & throws error 4 & 7 engine failure to start/run. Been in shop twice so far & no one has figured it out yet; of course it runs fine when we get to the shop but then like last night after running fine for 8+ hours, it shuts down & won't restart in Dallas...91*F at midnight...currently 112*F...been idling ever since...
RubyEagle Thanks this.
