Wrong. Some have (and continue to) side with me on this issue. It is trucking industry hitmen such as yourself who refuse to see the truth before their eyes and instead engage in character assassination on forums such as this one.
Case was n point, there was a gentleman earlier who brought up the topic of the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol "blue book" which every new driver is supposed to get from their employer and "sign for" upon receipt. The truth is in many instances that yes, the employer does require the driver to sign for lots of things they never get.
Rigged!

Seventeen months after getting off ramped by a bogus "failure to remain" flag in the Clearinghouse I finally found a company that hired me. Again, was NOT on drugs or alcohol, nonetheless, just to get this job I had to go through the same exact process as someone who was. Absolute nonsense! And just like the company that flagged me, this new company made me sign for drug and alcohol "educational materials" they never gave me, and which I never got. Nonetheless I am grateful to this company, Super Ego, for giving me the opportunity I deserve to get back into trucking.

Wow, straight from WE to Super Ego. I hope things get better for you.....

The fact that the industry has turned into a garbage fest to the level where SAP programs are even a thing is just sad.
-
Now you're starting to make sense. My basic premise is that if you're not on drugs or alcohol you should not be treated the same way as someone who is. That is fundamentally unfair, and frankly, unamerican. Can we at least agree on that? The SAP program, and I turn, the trucking industry, don't see it that way. The whole system is fundamentally corrupt.
-
Furthermore, it should not be left up to ther employer to decide unilaterally, without an in-person interview with the driver whether he intentionally "refused" drug/alcohol test. Intent is the key.
-
As a corollary, I went to a KwikFill for a pack of smokes, but because my son, who was at my side, (my copilot and navigator) was 20, I couldn't get my cigs. Just fundamentally ####ed up. Just saying.
