    They're just jiggling around with the way judgement amounts are determined. No real reform will happen until they address the issue of strict liability. The problem does not lie only with the size of awards. The bigger problem is that trucking companies are held liable when they are not at fault.

    Heaven forbid that ####ty drivers be held accountable for their actions now :rolleyes:

    Never understood the whole "I broke my arm in a car accident and now I'm entitled to $3 million" mindset.

    Well if you also get a leg busted up real bad along with a nice little TBI I entirely get it, living with the results of broken bones isn't a lot of fun come November to about April.

    Louisiana rates are very high. Last 3 insurance Commissioner’s went to Prison. No point system at all. Pay the fine, and keep Driving. They’ve always drove crazy there.
