Some interesting triva regarding the British monarchy: Queen Elizabeth II was the longest serving British monarch she ruled for the grand total of 70 years and 214 days, next on the list was Queen Victoria who reined for 63 years 216 days, 3 rd on the list was King George III who reined for 59 years 96 days. The Queens eldest son Charles will be crowned King and become Charles III when they are crowned the future King or Queen has the option of choosing another name other than their known name kind of like when a bishop is made a Pope in the Catholic church. An example of this was actually Elizabeth II father who was crowned King George VI due to his brother Edward abdicating when he insisted on marrying Mrs Simpson an American citizen who was divorced. King George VI Elizabeth's father chose the name George when his actual first name was Albert. Other interesting royal trivia King George V Elizabeth II Grandfather in 1917 due to WW 1 changed the Royal name of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha due to its German links to a more British name of Windsor

 

The whole “Royal family” is such a tired old tradition. Why do we idolize these fools? They are just figure heads, have no real say in how the country is governed.

but now a Dual visa citizen of the US and Australia.
