Risinger, Doesn't hold you resposnbile for tires if you piock up the trailer and you give them notice asap when you pick up the trailer. now if you bend a rim or distroy it then its on you like anyother company out here.

Again I ask why did you leave the leases with Roehl and Prime?

Roehl, well you only get 2300 miles a week in 7 days not 5 so that was part of the problem, the other problem was lack being able to get home, many of times I have deadheaded from columbus, oh or syracuse, ny on my own dime. It was one of those things where I only had a year in and i believe my company. that was my fault.

Prime, well you tell me, $1150 a week for a truck you will never own and only getting 2200 miles a week at $1.21 per mile doesnt take a genius to figure out your not gonna make it. Also, when your done in 3 years they resale the truck for $45,000. When I talked to the recuiter she said it was a lease purchase, which was a lie. So at the end I was $9,500 in the hole and had no choice but to quit after being out for 6 weeks and hereing "freights slow" or "your in a bad area". with prime if your not a kiss ### your gonna fail.

I did it with risinger for one reason, I did this before. I went into this Planning on getting screwwed ####### and used badly. Turns out this hasnt happened at all (surprisingly) I love it here. I get home when I want and can actually afford it. Truck payments and operations are built on common sense not a desk jocky pushing numbers. It truely is different here. Your not gonna get rich here doing one truck, but you will make more than a heartland or walmart driver if you do it right. but its like anything if you arent business minded first, and a driver second you will lose badly. if you go home every weekend or turn down loads or dont take it seriously I know a good bankruptcy lawyer you can call.

Why on earth would you go into something planning on getting screwed? Especially when you could just become a company driver. As you stated you got screwed in your lease/purchases with Roehl and Prime and now you plan on getting screwed again? That makes no sense to me I would never go into a job planning on getting screwed.

And Thats Exactly Why I Planned On Getting Screwwed, Because I Never Planned For The Bad And Went Under Fast. In This Industry You Got To Plan For The Worst and Hope For The Best. I Couldn't Be A Company Driver Because You Have No Control Over Anything. Right Now, I Got More Control Over Everything, Loads (If I Can't Really Stand A Place), Most Of The Time Better Health Ins., Can Decide Where And When My Truck Get Fixed. If You See The Owner Opp Way As Bad And Shy Away From It You Wont Make It.

I will give you less than a year to see the real story on leases and how the loads are dispatched there. Go back to the other thread and read BigKid2's last entry. I too was happy when I first started with them and I owned my own truck. Then things changed. Not making any miles or money. As the saying goes "New brooms sweep well".

I left Risinger after 10 months but miles or money was not any part of the reason I left. My last 4 weeks there I averaged 3800 miles a week. The good miles and money was what kept me there as long as I was. I left because the truck I was leasing was a piece of junk and was getting terrible fuel mileage and with summer coming up it was going to get worse due to idling for air conditioning. That and their CSA scores were terrible and I wanted to protect mine.

Bigkid2, I'm not understanding a few things why you left. I completely understand about the truck problems and loads 550 miles a day and being pick up and del same day, but the CSA score for risinger has nothing to do with your personal score keep your nose clean (example: running tired, illegal, not having proper paperwork ect)I have looked at their scores in the areas rated and 2 out of the 5 are in red which is bad the fatiuged driving are at 81.30 points industry average is 65 no surprise there with the amount of mile we run and the unsafe driving at 68.10 dont know the average there, but im searching some carriers that are larger and their scores are well over 90 points in every area, plus theres still no real good or bad just yet. Theres also the point about idling sense you were buying your truck in your post and not leasing it like you first were you should have just went and got a used enerator for like 4 grand and used that instead of idling. Not trying to pry into your business, just finding odd how someone doing as well as you would leave amkeing that much money and just a few average problems.

Was there any other reason you left?
