Risinger has alerts for 3 of the 7 CSA basics. Unsafe driving, fatigued driving and vehicle maintenance. Vehicle maintenance is what I was worried about. My truck would of failed an inspection and they did not want to fix it. I had no low air buzzer which would of failed a inspection. They refused to fix it at a Volvo dealer because Joe said the whole dash would have to be replaced. He wanted to pull one out of a wrecked truck in Morton but every time I could get through there he said there was no openings in the shop. I never did switch to buying it because then I would of been responsible for the repairs instead of paying .10 per mile and they paid for repairs. I did not want to switch because then it would be me paying for all the repairs they would not pay for before I switched that they were responsible for. Truck only got 5.9 mpg and that was with me doing 59 mph all the time. If I ran faster it only got about 5 mpg.

I just was tired of all the short loads and what I already mentioned. When I say short loads I mean all the 100-300 mile ones. Heck one week I did 12 loads and only had 3150 miles and those short loads were becoming more and more frequent.

I have never had any problems with the unsafe or fatigued driving because I know how to run a log book and I know when I need to stop. I also don't speed or do the things that cause you to get tickets.

Last reason was because I had a better job set up where I get .08 per mile more and am now leasing a truck where I get about 7.2 mpg with it and the truck has an apu and only 105,000 miles on it when I got it and I only pay about $150.00 more per week and I own it after 46 months. It is a 2010 Kenworth T660 with owner/op specs. No Northeast also. Last week I did 3800 miles and took home $2681 which was $500 more than my biggest check at Risinger which was a 4100 mile week.

I don't really want to divulge that info right now. Get a little tired of all the people that bash ANY company that somebody works for but yet they don't post where they work at.

By the sounds of it, seems like you went to either John Christner, American Central Transport (ACT), or R and R. But, ya I found Out everyone hates every company and all are bad to a point. It's just what you are willing to give so you can get what you want. No company is Perfect.

I will not bash who you work for I don't care. You only made 1000 a week for the time with the last company. To me for all the miles you ran all you made was drivers wages but had to pay all of ss tax. And all medical costs. But as long as you're happy that's all that matters. Best of luck with your new company.

I averaged about $1100 a week but that included weeks I took off which included 2 weeks for Christmas and several times for 5-6 days. You kind of proved my point didn't you?
How do we know you do any better because you have not posted it?

As far as this year I made $.50 a mile. It's not about who's doing better. For the money you made it did not seem worth it. With the added taxes and no healthcare. As long as you're happy that's all that matters. I wish you the best of luck.

Talked to Lorie in recruiting, it all sounded pretty good. she said that they don't have the apu's, but will finance a new one with a 30% discount. The only problem is that their new trucks they have right now are automatics. Not sure that I like the idea of an automatic with those heavy loads.

Finished orientation with Risinger on Friday, payroll cutoff is Saturday midnight, so I told dispatch that I needed atleast a thousand miles before then. Ten minutes later he told me to check the qualcom to confirm my thousand mile load, plus the next load after that to keep me busy for the weekend. So far, so good.
