SOMETIMES my RM740 map scale will zoom out to very large scale like 150-300 miles. When I manually select a more useful scale like 3-6 miles it will return the useless 150 mile scale after 15 seconds. The last several months this was not the case. In the past whatever scale I would pick the GPS would stay at that scale until I was close to my destination. Then it would zoom in as appropriate. I have noticed this zoom out problem in the past. I have powered down the unit and restarted several times. Am I accidentally turning on this zoom out behavior? How can I stop this behavior? Thanks
