That's a 25-40w radio, wouldn't be worth hooking a 100w amp behind it...Just too much radio for a small amp...Better amp would be something doing 200-300w's that does not have a driver stage, like a 2x2879 amp, or even a 4-pill box...

If you had a small radio like maybe a Uniden 510 or 520xl, then a 100w amp would be a improvement that people would notice... And stick something like a 1x2 amp behind something like a Uniden 510 or 520xl radio and people will think your on a base! (with the right antenna)...I know...I have a Uniden 520xl and a 1x2 and have no problems talking 14 to 17 miles on channel 19 from the west side of Dallas to some of my buddy's over on the east side of Dallas during rush-hour traffic.
