If you're in Florida then it is palmetto bugs. For the uninitiated, palmetto bugs are bigger, not giant, roaches that fly and are even harder to kill.
The only solution is to kill it with fire. I have a gas soaked rag you can borrow. -
Next time find a do it yourself pest control, get something like demon wp or venom, something with permithrin or similar. Follow directions, mix with water in a sprayer. Spray the truck. Just around the edges, behind cabinets, etc. This will kill everything that crawls.

Living in south Mississippi roaches are a fact of life. I use Comet Bathroom Cleaner to clean everything in the house. Kitchen, bathrooms, etc. It keeps them away. Wal-mart or any other grocery store have them.

Advion ####roach it's a bait that looks like peanut butter. You can buy it on amazon. Follow the instructions and I promise you they will disappear. As a preventive measure use suspend or demon also purchased on amazon after they disappeAr.
