I think there is a truck stop about 15 mins from me i will check there for the laminated one. If not i will just get the paper version to start me off. I can always upgrade to the better one after i start making money. thanks

I run similar routes so mine sits over on passenger side of truck for the most part.

My trainer in 2008 bought me an Atlas. Guess what! Still got it. Wait and then buy a good one unless you dont mind just buying two. Can probably find them used too. Some things change dont get me wrong but you can use the same map book for years and years. I never had a GPS. Simply are not needed honestly

Yep I only bought a new one because we run so many state roads here I wanted an updated one. Not sure what happened to my old one. I'll ask wifie if it's lying around but I doubt it.

Yeah i don't want a gps i'm old school pretty much. I just got a "smart" phone this past christmas i was using an old school flip phone and i was plenty happy with it. Cost me $20 and if i lose it or break it no loss. Plus nobody wants to steal my flip phone like they are with these fancy iphones and ####.

You can usually get them half price around June and July just before next year's start coming out. That's for the laminated ones too. Last one I bought was 19.95$

You can get a large-scale atlas For $20 from a driver at a truck-stop if you keep your CB on Channel 19 and listen 24 hours a day.

I bought the big laminated one and so far all I have done with it it lug it around. Too big to fit in my backpack and duffel is too full.

Don't buy one until you are told to or you get your own truck.

Better yet just keep an eye out if you are on I40 as mine is really close to getting launched out the window real soon.
