I just got back from LA. Left on turkey day so was driving through Wyoming on Friday. I was right at 80k but so the wind gusts didn't affect me much but they shut it down for lighter loads.
I agree, talk to your company but being shut down only 5 hours and then having to reschedule a day and half later sounds more like the receiver didn't have a sooner appointment time. Depending on your clock, a reset could be beneficial. Maybe the company could still squeeze you in if someone else was late. My company has a weather pay but not sure if only 5 hours would qualify for it. Everyone is different though

Layover from your company.....ask..... -
The 5hours waiting it's not big deal but the the new rescheduled appointment one day and a half crazy
I was asking the company to give me like another 4 or5 hours for delivery but they said you have another appointment you can't delvery after 5 hours from the original appointment .. road condition always can change for delivery time specially in winter time -
Call the receiver direct and sweet-talk them into accepting the load sooner. Good luck ! ! ! !

Eat it like a man.
Weather happens. If you want to be paid to tie your shoes and clean your mirrors every single time, this ain't your J.O.B. of choice.
That was an en-route event, and it happens.
That may sound harsh, but to those of us that have been out here since you were in diapers, or before, it's life.gokiddogo Thanks this.
