I am used to all kinds of road rage , saw two cars start to have a high sped car fight night before last ,
soon as I realized they were going to try to wipe each other I out got on the brakes and started creating space between me and them in case they splattered.
Im my truck I be been flipped off so many times by other drivers ( trucks included) I pretty much expect it , the friendly wave days are fading.
The world is going to end soon -
Why not just pull over completely, and hail the mighty four wheeler?
News flash,I got somewhere to be too!!
Im not slamming on my brakes, and Im not gonna cut someone off.
They have a car that brakes, and accelerates better than my truck.
If they can't figure it out, then Darwin will.

A dollar? Heck a penny and you could still retire, a dollar and you could live like a king. I had one today that ended up on the shoulder, waited till the last second to look in their mirror and decided to hit the brakes. Was already slowing down in case they decided to dart out and they could have made it if they hadn't slammed on the brakes.

I had a woman, on a cell phone intentionally run her Dodge Durango up on the jersey barrier to get ahead of me. This was at the I-94N ramp onto 394W.
She was coming south off I-94 onto 394.
I had a car to my left, while in the right lane, as the sign says there, "ALL TRUCKS USE RIGHT LANE".
She then slowed down and refused to let me pass her. All the way to HWY 100S.
This is the norm for people these days. They cannot be behind big trucks, for any reason.
All we can reasonably do is our best to PREVENT accidents from happening. By bring proactive about which lanes we run, how far ahead we monitor. As well as keepiong an eye on the traffic that is overtaking us.Raiderfanatic and OPUS 7 Thank this. -
Can't say enough about on-ramps. The on-ramp wants to "merge" onto a road already occupied by you.
Hold your lane. Don't move over unless it's completly safe to do so! If a big truck coming out I will flash him on or move over, if I can.
Let a little space for the ones whom actually use turn signals. The rest of them have 2 choices ...Gas pedal or brake pedal

I wish I had a dollar for every "granny" that tried cutting on to the freeway at 50 mph... Then they come up on my left and flip me the "Your Number One!" as they fly past at 80mph... P.S. that number to call on the back of my tailer, it's connected to the safety girl and she will ask "What was the truck doing?" and reply; "you failed to yield!" and follow up with " would you like me to report you to the police?" Just sayin....OPUS 7 Thanks this.

I have somewhere else to be too,and it's not wrecked on the side of the road talking to a LEO,boss, or lawyer.gpsman, OPUS 7 and Raiderfanatic Thank this.

And when they get their coveted Darwin Award, congratulate them on their achievement.OPUS 7 Thanks this.

This thread really helped me out. Today I drove from Atlanta to Durham Nc on I85. 3 separate times I had a 4 wheeler come down the entrance ramp at a spot where I thought slowing down was the solution for a smooth merge. Traffic was heavy, especially north of Charlotte. No option to change lanes for me. I slowed down and they did the same thing. Slowed down. I slowed further, they slowed further. Each time I had to release the brakes and pass them. 2 x they stopped on the ramp. I'm going to follow the advice of leaving a good gap that they can utilize or they can fall in behind me.... just wasn't safe for me to be braking like that. Everyday is a learning experience.
