I’ve been reading a lot of the threads here, so do the orientation at on boarding last the whole week? I have to fly there, but won’t be working out of there
i dont know. when i was hired in 2017. it was apply, phone, pretrip, road, drug, vet, class date. took me 3 months
What we used to do was have individuals come in for a pti and road test. If they passed that they were sent to get physical. If they passed that a conditional offer was extended pending background and credit checks. What we do now is bring in a large group for pro and driving test. If folks need help on pretrip walmart way they spend time working with them on that. I think the classes are a week. Then a week or two at home domicile with mentor. Hiring is supposed to be quicker now.
Ok cool. Cause I have no clue, I got the call& passed got a on boarding date! & the DC I’ll be working out of. So hopefully everything goes well! Is Sealy a good dc?& what credit checks?
Oh you went through one. Over stretched on credit won't necessarily bounce the app. But bounced checks, bankruptcies (multiple as soon as legally allowed) etc etc throw up warning signs. Though now that I type this I realize that they may have removed that aspect.
dont know for sure. but i would see it happen if they did. i know several people with tax liens working here
Wow, lots has changed. I had to meet with a drivers panel of private fleet drivers, multiple interviews, do a darn near exact state dot pre trip, including hand checking every lugnut. Whole process took almost 4 months
