So your payment is about $1800?
-
1712 I think. Sorry paper work isn't in front of me and it has a 10k buyout at the end
-
Oh ok......
-
Are you sure about that ... run those numbers though an amortization calc. $72500, after excluding the $10,000 buy back, at 59 months you come up just shy of an interest rate of 14.5%.
At 9% your payment would be about $200 less per month.
What they're doing is charging a 9% simple interest rate on the entire $72500, every month for the entire 59 months. -
so after paying on this truck for 1 month shy of 5yrs you still have to give them 10 g's and will have almost if not more than a million miles? buy the time you actually own that truck it aint gonna be worth nothing but maybe 20 grand, no thanks. got a guy I know who fleased with road runner he has been at it for 3 months now and getting screwed pretty good. bought the truck through arrow 12 peterbilt with like 490,000 miles and its already having problems, good luck driver.

Thank you driver but I'm only planning 2 years with this and go into something new. I've got my own loads from CA to MN and back that I've been doing for 6 years now that pay 7600 on the round so if you can't make it on that you better just stay a company man.
Arkansas Thanks this. -
Well when you purchase used you won't know what you have until you load it and run it. Simple as that. Maintain oil changes, have everything lubed up consistently and hope for the best, if you have trouble be prepared to handle it. No company driver here. If your leasing your on the way to being an owner operator. So if you don't have the cash flow to fix it stay away from it.
Owning a truck is not easy, it's going to take dedication but if you want it bad enough you can get it. There will be days you won't have enough money left over to eat hotdogs! That just the way the cookie crumbles.
Esp in a lease!
If your friend is waiting on terminal loads for days he never going to get enough revenue on the books working like that. There's a system to this madness! -
Exactly what I'm saying. If I purchased on my own my rate was 17.9.

I was planning on get a day cab. If the number ain't right then im out.
