The Arrow lease ties you to one of the Roadrunner divisions until lease term or truck is paid in full. Currently most divisions are not taking anymore Arrow trucks because like A&A and Bruenger they have ex company trucks that need filled.

I took a Arrow truck to A&A and have now moved to Bruenger. Looking at what these companies offer for trucks you might be better off taking one of their lease deals. The payment is a year shorter and the buy out is about $1500 instead of 10k. Payments are a little higher but you are buying it faster and don't have near the ballon payment on the end.

if you go threw Arrow do yourself a favor and take the time to go threw the truck. Have seen several guys have Arrow trucks in the shop before ever pulling their first load.

    my two cents.

I hope the trucks you lease through bruenger are good trucks.

    To anyone,

I’m not sure how to ask this so here we go.

Can I have the money that I will be making from bruenger paid to my company/ business versus paid to me. This way I can be an employee of my own company? Just a thought

If your an llc .....but i don,t see the benefit until your taxable income is far north of 100 k

I am an LLC but a sole proprietor. That status means all monies that are paid to my company are considered pass threw money. I am taxed as an individual. I get a couple of more trucks I will turn my LLC over to an S corp and then I will draw a salary and the company will be taxed as an inanity. Like bigdad7 said there is NO benefit to this until the income coming in justifies it. Good tax help and record keeping should be the first priority for all new contractors.

I would think being lease onto a company you will make over 100k a year. I never lease before, but from what I hear you do. The reason I wanted to have my own company was to draw myself a salary. I thought it would be tax deductible for my company and I can file my personal tax just as any employee of a company. Ok, I think i have more research to do or I'm way in over my head. Thanks for the info

Remember as a sole prop you still deduct per dium on sched c as well as your cell phone internet or anything else you can justify including mileage on personal vehicle on the truck i drive paid off as it is and 3 to 4 months off a year my profit after perdium has averaged. 65 to 75 a year

bigdad7, What would you suggest in my case? I guess a sole prop should be the way to go. I'm just trying to make a smart decision and get the most bang for my buck. uncle sam will always get his, I'm just trying to get mines.
