The real scoop is, Roadrunner bought other companies way to fast, paid too much, executives decided they liked getting paid to move freight, so they jam packed every trailer, damaged almost every piece, damaged every new trailer. Delivered late and ignored freight claims. The do not break stretch wrap was an invitation. The do not crush pyramid were crushed at will. That caught them, now we have a new majority stock holder that bailed us out and the ones they needed to fire got promoted. Once Roadrunner was the darling of Wall Street, every thing was rosey, we had more freight than we could haul, and we I/C’s made bank, now they have decided it’s We I/C’s need to help bail them out, no raise, fuel discounts have been cut by 2/3rds, major fee’s for brokers and loads, they used to give us advances for the trip, advance our repairs, all that quit because they have lost their credit rating. And now they think a name change to Ascent Global Logistics will turn it around while not fixing the above issues.

 

Roadrunner used to be better, and is better than this. I’m still doing good at Roadrunner, look at your rate sheet, tell your load planner where you want to go, if you don’t, he/she will send you where they can’t get someone else to do it. Stay out of the high dollar lanes, they have people at both ends dedicated doing them, stick to the mid dollar lanes, you will do good. I am.
