It's a crazy world out there, thing is we just experience more of it. Be safe and always mind your surroundings.

They sell these skinny metal door unlockers at truck stops, there called slim jims, that's why you have to tie you doors shut with a chain or rope

When I ran x-country I woke up to a bum in my driver's seat middle of the night in lower Manhattan. About scared the #### out of me. I had to threaten to beat her to get her out. She kept saying "come on man, it's cold outside, let me just warm up a little".

    With another key I assume.

I was a sleep,.. if you find the person you should ask them.

I know on Freightliners, my Columbia key has unlocked both another Columbia and a Cascadia. Both had locked themselves out of their trucks at the fuel pump.

Thing you have to realize is that if your key will unlock their truck,.. so too will their key unlock yours.

I've also seen people rig up ratchet straps for that exact purpose.

Not necessarily. It could be worn cylinders or pins. They are worn enough that your key is close enough. It is also why a key may unlock a door but not the other or the ignition. The driver's door is your best bet since it gets the most wear.
