One thing is for sure. If/when he ever needs to get from California to NYC or DC? He'll be burning petroleum fuels, even well beyond when electric cars/planes become relatively practical. Idiot. Funny how some of history's brightest minds and innovators all have/had a certain "dumbness and cluelessness" about them, about many other parts of society and the real world.

At point of use, perhaps. How much "emissions" are at the point of generation? How many tons of coal are burned to generate the power necessary to zap that 30 minute charge into the batteries? What is the life-span of the batteries, and what environmental hazards are created during their production and disposal?

These "zero emissions" cars have been proven to be more costly from an environmental standpoint from manufacture to scrap than a traditional internal combustion engine car. Just because there isn't a tailpipe doesn't mean there is no impact.

    dca and STexan Thank this.

Be quiet man! Don't be spewing facts and potentially altering the trajectory of the agenda! What's wrong with you? You need to immediately be dispatched to a remote reeducation facility in the Antarctic!

I'm all for cleaning up the environment.
By isolating cause, the resluts can change the affect. This is one area technology ought to focus on more. If you lean towards alternative energy, there is more then one source of electricity and more then one source of, shall I say pollutants? How would you reduce the impact of humans ?

Humans have been on this earth a long time. And today, air pollution is far less then it was 30-100 years ago. So, what's the problem? (Besides perhaps the Chinese and Indians making your goofy solar cells and batteries in unregulated environmental economies) One volcanic eruption somewhere on earth will produce 10x more air pollutants [and "greenhouse gasses"] than mankind will in a BAD year. Ever looked into all the chemical and production processes required to make a battery or a solar cell? Get some perspective then come back and join us.

I'm still here like it not..

let's take all this to those creating the issues

by the way while im for reducing the impact of humans I'm not for eliminating jobs to produce a more efficient smart no one gets hurt environment.

I didn't need a robot to tell me how to when I started and I don't need one now.

sure,;earth dose it's thing. so do people
