right.. we should all ignore the impact of what we do and how we do it.. there's no consequences, earth will take care of it self whether we're here or not.

That's the typical stand of a "leftist" .... nihilism. Did I say don't try and be good stewards of the earth? It's called being sensible and balancing efforts and costs against costs and effects, which is what the USA has been doing the last 40 years, but gets zero credit for from those with a leftist or progressive agenda

Nasty? You presume to tell the rest of us that "we're doomed" based on junk science and you call me "nasty"?

Go back 20 and 30 and 50 years ago and read all the various "predictions" by "scientists" and then look at the historical record that follows, then mull it over and get back to us.

Furthermore, since when does "science" become eligible for "consensus"? Real science is absolute and does not need "consensus". So the idea certain science is now subjective, and requires a consensus be alleged so as to convince the sheeple should raise alarms in your mind, but I realize that's probably not going to happen, and I'm sorry.

Funny how the left likes to quote "consensus" based on fraudulent data amongst politically motivated "scientists" (they know where the grant money is) while completely ignoring the science in other issues...such as the recent poll where 77% of college educated dummycrats don't think gender has anything to do with biology (as in your DNA) but rather a choice one might make as life progresses...or denying that a child in the womb is an individual, with its own unique DNA, heartbeat, and brain activity opting instead to refer to it as some sort of disease the "mother" is free to rid herself of at any point up to the actual birth...but that's all I'm going to say on that or else this'll end up getting shut down and booted over into the political section.

As someone with a BS degree in Forestry, though, I studied the past changes in the climate and how it has affected the various ecosystems...which has been happening consistently throughout the history of the earth. It has been considerably warmer than it is now (so that cold-blooded reptiles could thrive), and it has been considerably cooler (with much of the Earth's surface covered in ice), and has fluctuated in between the two extremes. The changes in the Earth's climate mirror that which is occuring on other planets, such as Mars...which doesn't have any humans to even remotely influence the change. You know what the Earth has in common with Mars though? The Sun. Climate change is entirely dependent upon solar activity. When solar activity spikes, temperatures go up. When solar activity wanes, temperatures go down. Been that way since the dawn of time, and whatever impact mankind might have is rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Needless to say, I'm not concerned. Show me a weatherman who can accurately predict what's going to happen a few weeks out and I might lend them an ear when they talk about weather a month out. Nobody can do that with any consistency, though, yet we're supposed to believe them about what's going to happen 20-30 YEARS from now? The predictions made 20-30 years ago haven't come true. Those continuing to make ridiculous predictions are about as credible as the nut jobs standing out on the street corner claiming to know when the world is going to end.
