I almost forgot about Moody Blues. Great music, but will lull you right to sleep. I like the 60's channel. I hope they bring back Road Trip Radio again this year. That was a good channel.

As far as first show goes my cousin took me to see Aerosmith. The next one was Megadeth at Red Rocks. Korn opened for them and nobody knew who they were.
The town I live in now does a benefit concert every fall. So far we've had front row seats to John Anderson, Mark Chesnutt and the Bellamy Brothers. I snuck into the Grizzly Rose when I was a kid and saw the Kentucky Headhunters.

We also saw the Eagles at the new Mile High stadium on the first night it opened. Good show, have no recollection of how we got home.

It may be a typical verdict, but I'll say that Metallica was THE BEST from Kill'em All thru the Black album. Load was a "forgivable sin", but Re-load to present is an abomination. Those would justify an album-burning ritual. They remain "unforgiven"

I know mine is an unpopular view when it comes to Metallica, but I've been a huge fan since kill em all came out. From day one. And here's the thing...I completely respect their desire to change, to do different stuff. Has some of their product been regrettable? Hell yes. Some of that stuff has been completely unlistenable. But it's because they were stretching their chops, growing as a band. In my opinion anyway. I'm a huge Beatles fan, and they did the same thing. And I HATE that their production ended in 1970. I'd prefer the occasional Beatles turd to the solo stuff they put out, for the most part.

That being said...kill em all to the black album was the greatest stretch of albums of all time, right next to revolver/rubber soul to Abby road

Have to agree...after Burton died Newsted had huge shoes to fill, the band had to adapt, it was almost seamless.
