Since there wasn’t any video, how fast do you think the truck was going at point of impact?
Look I’m all for national security and practical testing but crashing a ROCKET POWERED SEMI into another trailer?!? that doesn’t sound like practical engineering. More like “hold my beer” with a federal budget. -
First of all the cab of a truck makes a poor penetrator. The most mass would be the engine. You could probably be more effective by pouring concrete into a box truck. Now THAT’s mass!
Second, they mounted the rockets in the trailer, didn’t they?
Too bad the railroad and cable system they’d need to lay down to keep the truck on target would be a dead give away there MIGHT be an ambush ahead.
I mean if the bad guys have access to rockets powerful enough to thrust a truck, wouldn’t it be simpler to I dunno, BLOW UP THE TRUCK?!?Cowboyrich Thanks this.
