Is that what they call the single axle version of rt40 145? If so we have a million on 3.91s. My dad and a few others like em better than the top loads on the 99 ch
What do you want to change em for?KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
Off topic stan but on the the south side of pocahontas Arkansas on the east side of us 67 there is pete 372 sitting there and has been for a while ...and ! ..its an ex harley Davidson truck ( black and orange) looks to be in pretty decent shape.

Personally Ive learned to enjoy the Rockwells. I was first introduced to them back in 98 with that FLD120 which had a Rockwell 9 on Rockwell Rears whatever ratios they were. That particular Dowdy truck showed enough beef to not come out of top gear in the midwest up to 72 at all. Which was where I had trouble with in the past with previous trucks unable to hold gear in some of those hills.
I think some consider the midwest a bit easy. I have respect for some of their hills for what they can do to a semi.
I had a couple of other Rockwell trucks in the mid 90's and they were very good. Nothing but good things. Now if I could get them to show me a 13 speed double over or under with the same structure, then we would really have something awesome. You could do alot more with a 13 than just any old 10 or 9er.KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
YES! I have seen that truck, belongs to a trucking company in that town, last I knew it wasn't for sale, Also, all of the HD trucks I have seen are the ext 127" sleeper, I prefer the shorter 108". But I DO appreciate you hooking me up BZ!!! Thxbzinger Thanks this.

Hey Brett, no, this is a tandem setup, I "believe" the RR signifies the Rear Rear, and the RD (which is what is stamped on my front rear) signifies Rear Divider??? Issue I am having is as these are "older" rears, stud piloted, I'm guessing mid 90's, there ARE a lot of parts around, However, I am running a 4.10 with a direct 9, issue is, it's a 61 mph truck, so either the tranny or the rears have to go, I had thought about changing the tranny, BUT it is original to the truck and the motor with only 74,000 miles on it, the rears on the other hand were a clipped in cutoff that I had NO history on, I would need to go to about a 3.08 in the rears to get what I want, but it seems most of all I can find for gear sets is 3.70, 3.90, 4.10, 4.33 etc. I have called Weller about a reman set of pumpkins, but they are over 4 g's and that is WITH my cores, more than I want to spend, seeing how I can buy a newer rear cutoff for around 2500.00 that would be much easier to find the 3.08 in the newer rears? But I just wanted to see if there were any issues with the 145's that I needed to be aware of before I scourer the country for a used 3.08 set. Thx!Brettj3876 Thanks this.

I haven't been around long enough to tell you about any issues or known issues.
The cheapest option might just be a set of cutoffs. Ds 404 or 402 cant remember which but should be easy to find.
Or
If you can source the parts at a good cost leave the rears alone and find a RTX 14609B and the back half of a 14613 and have .62 in the final split. With 3.91s and 22.5LP 65mph is 1400 so with 4.10 i believe 1600 is where you'd be at. But i think a set of cutoffs would be cheaperKANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.
