I have an old mobility bag packed and ready to go. Just waiting for my recruiter to get my rental car info to me. Think I will start driving the morning of the 18th. That should be rolling into marsh field Sunday mid morning. Looking forward to getting this started.

Don't have CDL. Just picked up the learner's permit. Seems I'm all ready to go finally.
I think I'll leave early AM the 18th for the 10 hour drive to Marshfield. It's only 652 miles. That's just a day drive, right?. That'll give me Sunday to do a little recon and get settled before starting Mon.
Have been looking at a map of the Woodfield Inn & Suites. There's a Target across the street with a Starbucks inside, but doesn't open until 0800. There's another coffee place across the street. Just down the road is a Subway and Micky Ds is a bit further down. For those that just have to have it, there's a nail salon and tanning place nearby also. While you're there I'll be looking for a good cigar shop. -
Picking up my rental car at Will Rogers Airport in OKC at 8pm on Friday. Getting on the road early Saturday morning. 945 miles, probably gonna stop for the night and get in sunday morning.

Thanks goblue, that's good to hear. I was only going by what I saw close by on google maps.

Good to hear from you guys. My situation is not quite so upbeat. Just heard that the CDL examiner will not be at school for testing on the 17th as expected, but has been delayed until approximately the 24th, since the current class using the truck has been delayed a week from graduating. seems it has been in the shop for repairs and not available for them to train in. That means that my orientation start date will be backed up until AT LEAST the 27th, if not later. also, I will be training in Appleton instead of Marshfield. Guess I won't be seeing yall for while yet after all.

Sorry to hear that Aze I Are.. Good luck, Will see you on the road!

That's tough luck Aze I Are. Life isn't fair. Hope things work out for you. Perhaps we'll run into each other while I'm there.

The way you write your date is a dead give away.
Good luck with your training!
