Go to Schneider if you must. Roehl is ok. Schneider is in the upper right corner of the state on the map, no I dont remember where.
Several things here must be observed. Trucking companies dont hire anyone with a police record. If you got it, forget it. Maybe a local dirt company might hire a felon, but not national carriers. Another item is drug use. You have to be stone sober. I was in a company where a driver hadnt used marijuana in 3 months and they kicked him out for it. If you have medications in particular pain pills that you may have used with a prescrip, get your doctor to list why you were taking the drugs and whether and why you might still need them. Especially all / any drugs you may use. Even over the counter stuff. Companies want you to be open about your private part of life. Dont be bashful or feel shocked if some one wants you to do a pee test on short notice.
Companies that train you are going to make your head spin. They want to get you out on the road as quickly as possible so if you make it they can recoup their loss of your learning on their equipment. Usually a 5 day course and will spit you out if you cant pass their test. Better to find a school that takes its time to train you. The school I went to trained me over 4 weeks. There is alot to learn in this industry.
