Greenfield, IN I-70 Pilot. Picked up in Columbus, delivering to Big Lots in Plover, WI, and Marquette, MI on Wednesday. Load was riding really bad when I picked up. They said I only had 35K in the box but it felt like 45K. Scaled it and I don't know if they pull all the freight in front or what but the drives had 29K and trailer axle had 20K. Tandems were already in the B slot. Slid them forward nearly all the way and it felt better.
How about this one in Marshfield... http://www.marshfieldnewsherald.com...kes-bridge-near-The-Viaduct&odyssey=mod|video
When I was there If I had doubts I would scale the load. The time it takes to scale beats an overweight ticket any day...
Treefork, good luck on the new gig. Funny that last time you left I was out the door right behind you, we came back around the same time, and yesterday I got the call being approved with Hunt Transportation, not sure if I am leaving yet but we must have been looking at the same time.
I'm super excited to start this new gig. I wouldn't be leaving so soon if I didn't think it was a good deal. Some guys hate repetition, but it doesn't bother me a bit. My runs will be to the exact same place every day. Fort Wayne to Indianapolis. I live 2.5 miles from my starting location, so after Im done, 5 minutes and Im home. I do have to eat a little crow here though, because this is not a flatbed job.
I would pull a van if it paid enough and I was home every night and wasn't in NYC every day. I could even deal with the city daily if it paid enough.
