Well today straight up sucked. First drop today was a place in Montgomery, IL. Directions were just terrible. Color of building wrong, no signage, turn at first lite which is a WalMart. Drove by the place 7 or 8 times before I just decided to stop and start asking people. Got in town 2 hrs early, but ended up bumping the dock 15 mins early. Then...... Pickup in Elk Grove Village, IL. Docks are tight and indoor in the dark. Just love those. Can't see ####. I've got it in there and go to pull up just to straighten in a little and boom. Tear a hinge off the top of the passenger side trailer door. ####.. Door won't close, they won't load me. Maint has me truck over to a trlr shop a couple miles away. 3 hinges and 45 mins of labor only $88 bucks, so that was good. Back to the shipper, sit for 3 hrs in line this time. Made it to Road Ranger south Beloit with 1 min left on my clock.. Going home tomorrow thank God..lol

PS.. What's the preventable policy? Will I get one for this? Talked to an ex Roehlie and he said he thought it had to be over several hundred dollars or something. Safety didn't seem to concerned about it.

They might just classify it as "equipment damage," which affects your points score on the Your Choice system but doesn't count as an actual accident. Safety should be able to tell you how it's being classified.

With the way the pay plan is set up you will probably take a hit on that which will drop you down a level. I use a small Coleman LED flashlight and I will place it somewhere high next to the door to help me line up in those kind of places. I only like going to those places when it is dark out.

when I dinged a trl it was 1 cpm off my pay right off the bat, affected my pay plan as well, close quarters training and something else. Safety seemed cool about it too, that doesn't benefit you. Preventable sure, they'll say you should've goaled. Will it happen the same as me maybe not but that's my experience.

That seems awfully excessive considering $88 damage. Hell I would've of paid for it myself if given the option rather than lose all that. We'll see what happens.

Iam suppose to meet another driver to get his load. Problem is he dont answer his phone or return calls. Suppose to get it from his house. Would be nice to know a eta but noooo I get nothing other than he was suppose to be home by 4:30.

I would totally understand if he got held up at the shipper or something just a little info would be nice.

Well Tapatalk updated their Iphone app and now it doesn't work, so I haven't been able to access forums until I got to sit down here at the computer. Man, I feel out of the loop and disconnected anymore. :)
