Guess delays breed delays. So told fm that since I was at shipper so long yesterday I'm not going to make 10:00 for shipper today. Had to shut down last 100 miles from cons. Deliver this morning then about 2.5 hrs to shipper got here at 15:00. Sitting here almost 4 hrs and still no door. Screw this crap.
Good luck with that. That really sucked when they took the edit feature away. There were times I forgot to switch to like off duty or sleeper at a customer, fuel stop or finishing up for the day. I would just to screw it and just leave it. It was too much of a hassle to get safety to fix it
Oak Lawn (south side of Chicago) at shipper, ran out of hours. Knife...check, bat...check, pepper spray...check, 40 cal...#### it!
I fell into the same trap today. Not a delay at a customer but a delay in getting moving again. I got sent toward the shipper in North Cove, NC. I was told the load info would be sent. Well here I still sit at the Loves in Marion, NC. I finally got a preplan hrs after I got here but it was for a load that picks up Fort Mill, SC that was going to ready this evening. Now why was I told to drive over here from Statesville only to sit. Now I have to back the other way.The guy who was sitting in for my DM gave me an answer right out the Dispatchers Liar Guide. I should have asked him what chapter and page it was on. The bad part is they canceled 2 preplans to pick up at this place in North Cove before telling me to start heading this way. I should have known better and just went down to the Wilco Hess off 77 instead.
Just got a door, it takes awhile to do these loads because they put extra airbags for the train ride. Supposed to have been in Chicago this evening. Most likely I'll be going to HQ for the night. Not a lot of parking between here and Oshkosh.
Not exactly. Woke up to a dead battery. Never had issues before so assuming spending 10 hours between two shippers yesterday weakened the batteries, then my 10 hr break finished them off.
You and I aren't having the best weeks. I'm sitting here at WalMart now going on 3 hrs waiting for them to unload a partial trailer.
I haven't been back to WI since I left Roehl. They are slowly getting me closer though. Last time out I went to Aurora, IL a couple of times which was the first time I had to run the Chicago area in 2 1/2 months. I was quickly reminded how much I didn't miss it. This load is going to Waukegan. I guess the only good thing is Ozark puts us on the toll roads in that area. So I haven't had the pleasure of running 94 through the city. Speaking of toll roads. I think I have ran 76 in PA more times in 2 1/2 months I have been here then I did the whole time I was at Roehl. Lol!
