They really discourage it, but if you're legal, you're legal. And wouldn't you rather beg forgiveness for using it, than lose 2000 points for missing an appt?

I posted that. Heard it from a new driver who said he saw it happen while he was moving into his newly assigned skateboarding truck at the Marsh. Sooooooo..... who knows. Would like more info, myself, if it's true. I don't know why someone would make that up, but you can never tell.

Could be an acquisition. I know when they bough Blume Farms they brought all the drivers in and then fired about 98% of them for not meeting hiring criteria.

i was in gary the other day and there were a couple of guys making their exit their. one was from nyc and going to do a local/regional gig there. he was trying to figure out the trains to get to ohare. i don't think either was leaving on a bad note. I think this business has a retention issue that no one has figured out.

It makes sense, it's a tough job in the sense that you're away from home for extended periods of time. Hard to have a family life like that. Takes a special relationship to stand up to that. When the wife and I left Marshfield it was to have more family time, and we were home every night. While we make less money here, we're happier. I could easily make up the difference in what we left behind, but then I'd be gone 13+ hours a day and I don't feel like that is the right choice. So I can only imagine that drivers face the same types of dilemmas. Is it worth it being away from home for such a long period of time for what you earn. Then add in recruiters telling you how much greener the grass is at there company.

Flying J MO I44 xt 226. 6 hrs detention while cons did inventory. Hope they pay because that shortens up the day considerably. That along with St Louis rush hour in the rain, after game six...agh.

The game was in Boston. They'll pay as long as you didn't use any of the 6 hrs as your 10 hour break. I got jammed up for 18 hrs awhile back and got 8 paid.
