Roehl Driver Check In Continued

Oak Creek. Getting relay here, then deliver in Menomonie. Then home.

 

I thought about stopping there tonight, almost did. But I'm going to try for an early delivery tomorrow, so I went to my fuel stop at the TA in Porter, IA.

 

Kardolmar and I are delivering to the same place, so probably meet up on 94 somewhere and go in at the same time.

 

This makes more sense. I couldn't imagine 50 drivers being able to coordinate something like that. The first year I drove for Roehl I only got to know about 3 other drivers. Even with the internet it would be difficult to organize and if it was some kind of show of force or solidarity I'm sure there would be some public information available.

 

Sounds good. So how was securement training? Was today your last day?

 

yesterday was last day. Loaded up truck today and got relay out of Gary to Kenosha, headed to Oak Creek after delivery and got relay message on the way. The training was fine. The local guy I was with was pretty cool. Just happy to be going home. Funny to say that not even quite 2 weeks out. Didn't take long to get used to home weekly.

 

I wouldn't doubt a mass walk out. This place is getting harder and harder to deal with. Can't get through the driver line during the day. Nights always give the don't know what to tell you hands are tied BS. Look at the Roehl FB page along with many of the posts here. To many people just take the #### they give so they will not change.

 

Pilot @ Brooks, KY just south of Louisville. Cities in the area postponed Halloween activities until tomorrow night due to storms and high winds. I can vouch for the winds part -- the sleeper on the truck is really rockin' back and forth just sitting here in the parking lot. Wouldn't want to be out on the road pulling an empty van tonight.
