YeH, Bayle, those generalizations are pretty accurate. Allied Tube in Harvey, just sw of Chicago is prolly the worst. Plan on 6 to 8 hours there, and that's their headquarters!

I will hope and pray Ind. Tube is bucking the odds tomorrow, for BOTH picks. And collect a wad of detention, with a one-day-later-than-expected delivery, if not.... Hey, I didn't make the retarded schedule. ;)

That's what I was afraid of. If that is the case I may have to request a different truck and I like this truck.

I was just running the bunk heater and it is getting pretty nasty in here. I spent a couple of hours out of the truck and could breath again, but 10-15 minutes in the truck and total congestion.

As far as the bunk heater goes, make sure the flexible exhaust pipe for that (usually exiting immediately inside the headache rack pass side support) is pointing somewhere other than up at the sleeper. I got my truck with 40k miles, and that small pipe was turned around AND up! :biggrin_25521:

I just went out and checked it and to my surprise, it was running. Everything looked good though, but I was certain I turned it off. Turned it off again, opened the windows and in about 5 minutes I could breath again.

i also have to roll the windows down several times a day when driving. I'll write it up when I get back home.

    KF7WTV Thanks this.

Much better with the windows open but it's getting a little cold. I think it's safe to say that there is definitely a problem. I'll try leaving the heater off tonight.

requesting a new truck won't do much good. All the new ones got grass burners, regardless of make.

OK. Well I can always roll the windows down when I'm driving, but the bunk heater problem must be fixed.
