Yeah, although I've noticed if you don't have the yellow knob pulled, it won't even let you put it INTO auto-start mode...whereas with the gearshift thing, it will complain only at the point where it tries to start the engine. At least on my truck. (Not that I usually leave the truck in gear, but it accidentally happened once; the yellow knob thing was just an experiment).

She's not young and does part time work advising/teaching companies like landscapers and stuff about the dot rules.

I also found that if it's running when you get up, and when you get ready to go, is to turn the key to on and push the button to shut it off, that way it just idles down. Instead of just shutting off from 1000 rpm.

    technoroom Thanks this.

Shut down in Circleville, OH at the Pilot. AM appt at the cons, then PP for Rockford, IL, then home! It's been pouring rain literally all day.

Had to wing it. Relied on GPS, which I hate to do. And yes routed me to wrong place. Not far away, one street over actually, but still wrong. These new drivers that solely rely on gps wonder why they get into trouble. Cons never answered their phone or called me back. Oh well wasn't too bad.

Dark Squall and Projektf350 Thank this.

Agreed on GPS System. I use a basic model, but for arrival info mainly. I force it to go the route they want me to, with the via points function.

Neenah for Hometime but wife is too tired to drive down and pick me up. So I'll spend the night in the truck and then take a few days off.

My new Garmin DEZL 560 is waiting for me at the house. I really like using a GPS for ETA's, traffic alerts and the audio visual reminder for each turn. Plus if you ever miss a turn it is far more accurate than guessing. But once you deviate from the planned route you better really be paying attention to everything.
