Nice, congrats man. Can't wait to hear how it goes. Might make my decision a little easier.

Looks like it was probably dark when that happened. I hate right hand turns on roads like that, especially at night in the rain when it is much more difficult to see what's going on back there in the blind side mirror. Looks like he should have stopped in mid turn, lowered the window and leaned out with a flashlight to make sure the wheels weren't going into the ditch.

Doesn't look like anyone got hurt though. I'm sure he will learn from this one.

Which reminds me. The mirror heaters on new cascadias suck. Prostar would cook off even rain spray. These don't do crap. Plus with the way aero is and mirror placement the right side is almost useless in rain.

I had similar issues with the 387 Peterbilt in the rain. I keep a fold-up window cleaner with squeegee in my truck. I don't think I've ever cleaned a window with it, but it works great for clearing a mirror. Sometimes in rain or snow (and almost always at night) I would roll down the window and squeegee the mirror and the triangular window so I could finish a back.

Blazed into Fontana from shipper 10 miles away, with -4 on my 14hr. Oopsies! :biggrin_25520: This pipe is going to Surprise on Monday, so it might very well be my last load for Roehl. If so, it's time to play peekaboo with some mule deer in the sagebrush and pinion pines for the rest of November! :biggrin_25522:

he was obviously backing up. Notice the stop sign and side wing.

I wondered about that. I'll have to take a closer look. That would be even worse, as backing up without assistance is grounds for immediate termination.
