Roehl Driver Check In Continued

I asked the Werner Enterprises recruiter that comes to Diesel Driving Academy here in Shreveport, LA if they're trucks were running APUs. He said that they tried it out for a while but were having to spend too much money replacing them because drivers were not taking care of them. Again, thats what the recruiter told me. He said all of their trucks are clean idle so they just idle the trucks. Just passing along some info that was given to me and maybe that has something to do with Roehl running EPUs.

 

No APU OR EPU on my Kenworth so I'll be idling all summer. Temp gauge said 104 today at the shipper. Warm tonight too. Gotta stay cool regardless of fuel consumption. Gotta do what you gotta do.

 

Crashed out at the cons in Aurora. Shipper in Granite City held me up for 3 hours so ran out of hrs tonight. Headed back to Granite City in the morning, then off to Louisiana.

 

Launch out tomorrow I'm thrilled...

 

Just pulled the truck in the shop at Gary...looks like its gonna be the breakroom for me for a while

 

Moose lake mn..home of bayle and techno..msp to gbay tomorrow. Duluth was cool and in a cloud of fog all day. Drove that bridge and saw freighter and sload of iron ore. Cons was a block from minor league stadium but they were out of town otherwise i woulda went to game.
