well...believe it or not that computer driver analysis is skewed sometimes...apparently not always factoring the required federal breaks....its usually pretty good but not so much this past week. my 14 ended at 0430 and had a 0730 appointment....no place for a split and no parking at cons

That's my biggest issue with the PP's. There's never a window. Just a time. It would be nice to know what the window is. I've called several times to express my concern over time only to be told, "oh don't worry, we have a lot of time on this.". Then why squeeze me with the ETA, especially when they're sending me into a major city at rush hour?
-
They must have changed things since I've left. We (I and those I worked with in Flatbed dispatch) always calculated out the transit times ourselves and took into account your available hours. We didn't rely on the computer to give us an ETA because it was inaccurate. When we set out preplans we could indicated a window, although we would put an ETA in there as well for the time that we expected your to arrive. If there was a discrepancy between the expectations typically a phone call was made to clear it up before we proceeded with the dispatch.
-
Yeah it depends on fm. Some give the windows others won't. I had one that won't give windows to new drivers, until they've basically proven they can be consistent on hitting eta's.

I would like to see this stuff happen at least once in a while.
got a PP for yet another 60 miler today after my awesome 118 mile day. (gotta love the grocery warehouses!) I had 20 min left on my 14.
still waiting for a PP :/

Petro I-39 x99. Place is like a skating rink in here tonight. Was able to void my load in Edwardsville no thanks to planners. Planners wanted me to wait until tomorrow morning for it, my FM said not happening. Got this run to Wausau for tomorrow afternoon, then PP from Green Bay to Gas City, IN.

Gary for the night. Going to Menomonie WI, via Marshfield. Got a passenger, driver tested out and I have to drop him up there for his truck.

Have 30 hrs left on 70 with 1700 miles of preplan by Mon at 2100 (live unload at a grocery ##### house in Cleveland with no parking). Said that won't work. They dropped one plan so 1200 left now. I might just stop by the house Sun night on route vs getting there a day early and fighting for layover pay. Do the planners understand Holiday traffic and speed limiters?
Projektf350 and jeepnut_nh Thank this. -
Loves I-64 xt 25/Hwy 41 in southern Indiana. Temps in 60's from London KY to St Louis and back. Bobtailed to downtown St Louis for CDL physical today...nice looking nurse. Driving truck for Roehl has apparently reduced my blood pressure & heart rate and caused me to lose over 20lbs this year (without even trying) Maybe Roehl will put me in a recruitment video with GoBlue! Haha
Meltom Thanks this. -
only because now you can't afford to eat. Hahaha
