I'm home btw. Didn't think I'd make it today. Delivery was a 10:00 appt tomorrow only 60 miles from home. I called cons, said they take me today. Fork driver said it's one less truck he's got to worry about tomorrow. Win, win.

Which Ice Road trucker are you more like? Alex Debogorski or Hugh "the polar bear" Roland?

Don't let him kid you. He's more like the complainer dude that had blue hair.

Is that legal? You can't use bungees right?

Gary for the night. Dropped a relay here after getting voided on another failed P&G load. Heading to Carroll, IA for Monday morning. Heading home Tuesday!

That is correct. Bungees have a 0 lb. working load limit, legal to secure tarps to a load only. Not that I don't see plenty of drivers strap stuff to their catwalk with them. But you can use a little ratchet-strap thingy just fine; I use one to keep my ladder in place on the back of my equipment rack.

At home now, about to start sipping my frozen rum drink. (I am from Minnesota, after all.)

A little sore from skiing and shoveling. Had to be careful not to complain about getting old, as we were skiing with one if our high school teachers who is 71. It's funny, we're (old high school friend and I) 51 and he still calls us boys. After his second spill late in the day he said, "That's it for me boys." I hope I'm still in good shape at that age.
