hah now on 65 and its full of holes, even on the new section. well we approached xit 5 from the west and got turned back north, took burr and looped back to 80west and off the Cline ramp closed north that way again, repeat to burr north to 15th

Yeah that closure of 912 at Gary was unexpected. Coming in from the IL side, they had a notice on one of the electronic signs to take SR 152 / Indianapolis Blvd (exit 2) north instead of using 912. I wasn't sure whether 169th street through Hammond was OK for trucks or not, so parked at the Pilot at Burr (exit 6) and called my FM. Got the OK to go north on Burr then west on 15th. Saw a number of Schneider trucks on that route also. Anyone know why it's closed, or how long it is supposed to be?

Guess what? No record of appointment. So now I will be wasting another 4-6 hours waiting. I got up at 0330 so I could be here for the "appointment" and now I probably will not make my next dispatch before my 14 is up. Oh joy of joy.

 

Getting unloaded now, 2 hours behind original schedule, but 2 hours ahead of the "work you in" time.

At cons in New Haven IN getting unloaded. I'm rather close to a mineral wool manufacturer in nearby Wabash, IN, so I wonder if that will be my next pickup going up to L'Anse MI. Time will tell.

Edit: No mineral wool in my near future after all; heading back to Gary to pick up a relay load going to Louisville KY.

 

its mild in Louisville ....light rain now. it was way nicer yesterday. drove by Louisville slugger ball park today on 64...looks nice from the hiway
